OpenPKG uses the name "OpenPKG" as a brand and trademark. Third parties are not allowed to use the name "OpenPKG" to identify themselves, their services or products or otherwise use it in any way to pretend a not existing organizational relationship to OpenPKG. The OpenPKG artwork is the intellectual property of Ralf S. Engelschall and must not be used outside OpenPKG without prior written permission.

Communications

Any material, information or other communication transmitted or posted to public services of OpenPKG will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary communications. OpenPKG will have no obligations with respect to the communications.

OpenPKG and its designees will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use the communications and all information embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes. The submitter is prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from OpenPKG any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, adult, or other material that would violate any law.

Contributions

Users utilizing OpenPKG resources, products or services to submit information with the intention to improve OpenPKG Project resources, products or services implicitly contribute that information to the OpenPKG Project for redistribution under the OpenPKG Project license unless they explicitly mark the information as being "not a contribution" simultaneously with the submission.

OpenPKG Project backers may ask contributors of frequent, nontrivial or otherwise legally rated critical submissions to explicitly accede to the OpenPKG Contributor Agreement (OCA) to safeguard the OpenPKG Project license from diluting and from being undermined by third parties' rights.

Sensitive Information

OpenPKG endeavours to conduct as much discussion as possible to a broad community. This encourages openness, transparency, and stimulates the broad community. However, sometimes, especially for security or internal issues, private communication is necessary. Recipients must never divulge such information in public without the explicit permission of OpenPKG.

Registry

The central OpenPKG Registry service collects information about OpenPKG users, hosts, instances and packages to provide statistical community information to OpenPKG. This information is stored confidentially and kept private within OpenPKG. Email addresses and other personalized information is not shared with third parties.

OpenPKG may occassionally send notices regarding the registered account or related OpenPKG services. Registered acounts are granted access to restricted OpenPKG resources and are obliged to not subvert this restriction by public redistribution. OpenPKG reserves the right to delete inactive registered accounts. A reminder is sent prior account deletion to give a last chance to resume activity.

Policy Changes

OpenPKG reserves the right to change this policy. We post an announcement notice for each change.
